These groups are a viable resource to expand your network and create meaningful connections with other parents affected by Prader-Willi Syndrome.

Times:

Group 1: Birth to Age 3 Years – 9 to 10 AM PST | Link to Register

This group is for families who have an infant or toddler diagnosed with PWS. Topics discussed typically include feeding issues; supplements and growth hormone medication; early intervention therapies such as OT, PT, and speech therapy; behavior management strategies; and how to maintain Regional Center eligibility at age 3.

 

 

Group 2: School Age (Ages 4 – 22) – 12 to 1 PM PST | Link to Register

This group is for families who have a child diagnosed with PWS age 4-22. Topics discussed typically include how to manage unwanted behaviors; diet management; school-related services including IEP’s, how to get school-based therapies, high school transition programs; how to get Regional Center services; and how to get In-Home Support Service.

 

 

Group 3: Adulthood (Ages 17+) – 3 to 4 PM PST | Link to Register

This group is for families who have an adult diagnosed with PWS. Topics discussed typically include how to manage unwanted behaviors; special needs trusts and wills, conservatorship; employment and day programs; and residential placement options.
