Behavior Management Resources for Families
While challenging behaviors are a symptom of PWS, there are effective management strategies and techniques that will help decrease anxiousness and reduce maladaptive behaviors.
Traditional discipline methods are rarely effective with individuals with PWS, but there are many PWS-specific strategies and interventions that are quite effective. These strategies, identified or developed by PWS specialists, are explained in the documents and videos within this section and will be helpful to parents, extended family members, and friends.
The earlier you begin PWS behavior management strategies, the better the outcomes will be. Yet, it is truly never too late to start; incorporating these tools at any age is essential for protecting your loved one's quality of life.
