Prader-Willi California Foundation (PWCF)
was established in 1979 and is recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt
public charitable organization. Your donation helps us continue our work
to improve the lives of Californians impacted by Prader-Willi syndrome. With
your help, we can and will continue to develop and fund PWS clinics; distribute Member
Handbook & Record Keeper books and advocacy packets as well as
create other needed publications; create more DVDs such as the newly produced Understanding
the Student with Prader-Willi Syndrome and Food, Behavior and
Beyond; educate andsupport group home, supported living and vocational
work staff who serve residents with Prader-Willi syndrome; and much, much
more. Donations to Prader-Willi California Foundation
are tax deductible to the extent permitted by law.
PWCF is dedicated to protecting and promoting
the welfare of persons with PWS. We serve over 700 members
throughout the State of California, with a network of support persons
located throughout the state. Membership is comprised of parents and
relatives, as well as professionals in the medical, psychological, educational
and social sciences fields, and other interested persons. All members
of the Board of Directors are parents or relatives or other dedicated
supporters – all are volunteers committed to helping. PWCF
maintains a close affiliation with the national Prader-Willi Syndrome
Association (USA).
PWCF is supported solely by dues, grants and charitable donations. Your
generous donation will help support this educational meeting as well as
the many other educational and support programs and services sponsored
by the Foundation.
Membership is comprised of parents, relatives, friends,
and persons with Prader-Willi syndrome as well as
many dedicated professionals and care providers.
Your membership supports the Foundation’s programs,
keeps you informed about treatment and management
strategies of the syndrome’s
myriad symptoms, and helps keep you networked and
connected with other families.

Our Vision is that people with Prader-Willi Syndrome
may pursue their individual hopes and dreams to the full extent of their
talents and capabilities… and that we will help them achieve their
goals.
Our Mission is to provide parents and professionals
a state network of information, advocacy and support services to expressly
meet the needs of people with Prader-Willi Syndrome, their families, and
the professionals who serve them. |
