For Professionals: Educators

Thank you for taking the time to browse our website. The goal of this section is to help educators understand the unique needs of the student with Prader-Willi syndrome in order to faciliate an appropriate and successful educational setting. There is a wide range of abilities for people who have PWS and just like any other student who has an IEP, the appropriate, least restrictive environment will be be based on the skills and needs of the individual. Many students are successful in a general education classroom with appropriate supports in place, while others benefit from a special day class. In addition to the resources found here on our website, you can also contact our office for additional information or to schedule a staff training.

We recommend the publications in the box to the right for all schools who have a student with PWS.
